This series of training classes is specifically designed to help prepare you to take and pass the Certified Energy Plans Examiner test for the 2005 Energy Standards. Topics will focus on the skills and specific knowledge that is required to understand the Standards and pass the exam.

Although anyone is welcome to attend the training classes and everyone will certainly gain and benefit from the class, to receive the full benefit of the classes a working knowledge of the Standards is essential.

• Wednesday, May 14 from 9 – 4 by Webcast

Nonresidential Exam(s): $145.00

• Friday, June 6 from 9 – 1:30 at PG&E’s Energy Training Center in Stockton
• Friday, June 6 from 9 – 1:30 at SoCalGas’ Energy Resource Center in Downey

Both the California Energy Commission and the California Association of Building Energy Consultants (CABEC) recognize the Certified Energy Plans Exam (CEPE) as the only statewide certification exam focusing specifically on the California Energy Standards. CEPE Certification is a reflection and statement of one's knowledge and skills in understanding the California Energy Standards.

The CEPE exam is also one of the requirements of the California Association of Building Energy Consultants (CABEC) for a person to become a Certified Energy Analyst (CEA).

The full exam will be 60 questions long and will cover all aspects of the 2005 Energy Standards. Participants must correctly answer 75% of the questions to pass the exam.
